Betsi Bixby is a former banker who is passionate about family businesses. She noticed that profitable, growing businesses were borrowing money over and over because they were so cash poor.
Betsi started teaching her partner about cash flow and within six months the health of his business had improved dramatically. The business was paying down debt and there was money in the bank. They decided to share their newfound wisdom with their fellow marketers by holding a seminar on cash flow and inviting Betsi to speak. Today, Betsi provides invaluable advice and guidance to family-owned businesses, helping them grow and expand their market share.
As a Family Business Specialist and seasoned event speaker with an accounting background, Kayla will make you feel like you’ve worked with her for years. She came to Meridian with a strong belief in coaching, learning, and an appreciation for cash flow from her strong accounting background. Incorporating her passion for legacies and ear for detail, Kayla brings valuable conversation and direction to the family business leaders who have the pleasure of attending her powerful sessions.
How it Works
Before the main event begins, take the opportunity to meet with other attendees at the hosted meet & greet happening June 17 at 6:00pm CST. Kickstart networking and get a taste of what’s to come in the next two days!
On the first day, get started with a delicious, full-buffet breakfast and get directed to round tables. Each table is specifically curated to give the best experience possible; whether it be industry similarities, roles, or location. Be surrounded by women who will provide meaningful, profitable contributions.
Each day is full of workshops, expert speakers, team building, and networking, equipping attendees with the tools needed to succeed! The evening of June 18th is the Outstanding Women in Family Business Awards ceremony recognizing one owner and one non-owner for her outstanding performance. The outside judges look for: contribution to her company, overall impact, leadership qualities, and contributions to those around her.
The second day, after another scrumptious breakfast buffet, its more profit-making ideas culminating in a plan that will enable the family business to THRIVE in 2024 and beyond!
And we always weave in time to relax and explore; we even have a few special activities planned to take full advantage of the beautiful Clearwater beaches.
Ending at 3:00pm on June 19th, its off to return home excited to make things even BETTER with new ideas and relationships, positive impact on the workplace, co-workers, and community.
